Rollout Instructions

Please watch the video, you may not need to read the instructions.

FIVE easy steps:

On any flat surface, place about two cups of cookie dough on the center of a piece of wax paper, about the length of a cookie sheet. Place another piece of wax paper on top of that.

Spread the dough down with your fingers pressing evenly to about an inch thick.  Place two measuring boards of thickness desired down flat and vertically on each side of dough.  Fig 1

Leave a little space between the outer edge of dough and measuring boards. Measuring boards should be sitting on top of the two sheets of wax paper with dough sandwiched between. Place the roller centered on top of the dough. Fig 2

Press down on rolling pin in center. Starting from the center of dough and with your hands on top of the rolling pin where it meets the boards roll and push away from you and then towards you. Fig 3

When you can roll across the boards easily, your dough is now rolled out to the precise thickness you want! After rolling the dough out evenly, place on a cookie sheet, cover with foil and refrigerate for at least two hours or even better - overnight. The dough can be frozen as well. To clean your Cookie Thing, simply wipe with damp cloth, do not soak in water or place in the dishwasher.
